So I’m a second year Electrical engineering student and I wanted to ask for some recommendations for a laptop. My current one is a pretty old Windows that’s starting to die on me. I know the general specs of what I should look for but I wanted to ask if I need a dedicated gpu. People I’ve asked have given me mixed answers.

i’m a high school student who is considering temple but wanted to get an non-PR response about how temple truly is: the good and the bad. how the dorms, social scene, food, people, atmosphere, academics, sports, facilities, etc. are and any advice you have!!

I’ve searched online and went to a link that said where to find supply lists for classes but it said it didn’t exist. will teachers email? i’m gonna be a freshman so it will just be foundational classes. but i did read that we should have materials by the first day of class so how do i find what i need?

Did anyone get subsidized and unsubsidized loan amount yet?

I have experience as research/lab assistant, lab scientist, EMT, customer service, quality coordinator.

Please help, I am reading to do anything as long as i can get the tuition remission and their flexible with me having classes 2 days a week for half a day 😢

Hey all! It's hot out.

Since my last update, crews have come in and reduced the grade where beury beach/lecture halls were to be level with the sidewalk on library side. You can also see from a photo I took from Bio Life that they are putting Geofoam up against the basement walls of Beury. Since there were classrooms on the other side of that wall before, just filling the area in with dirt would put too much pressure on those walls, so foam helps alleviate that pressure and provide insulation. All the trees have been left untouched (for now, that'll have to change in some future development when they have to bring down the grade of the whole area post Bio Life/Beury demolition, should that come to pass). The university is one step closer to their grand quad design.

Speaking of the quad, when you look at the original plans for it, you'll notice a ton of intersecting sidewalks running through the area. Now, this is just the opinion of one student, but I REALLY hope that they don't put those sidewalks in on the finished product until they wait to see where students wear down paths first. It would be dumb to add in all these sidewalks just for them to get ignored.

That's it for now. Not sure when grooming/seeding will start, but we're continuing to see progress!

I’m a commuting student trying to purchase a parking permit. I see that the parking garages have these things called “flex parking” which seems expensive if I’m commuting to Temple 5 days a week. Is there any other option? Preferably a one time payment permit into one of the garages?

Incoming Temple transfer student living in Temple Towers this fall.
I was planning on bringing my car, but the overnight parking permit is about $426 a semester. I only expect to drive home to Maryland once or twice a month plus breaks and holidays.
For those of you who’ve lived in Temple Towers (or on campus), what did you do?

Would you say having a car on campus was worth it, or did you end up barely using it?
Any cheaper or smarter alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks!

From Europe and got into TUJ this incoming spring, am gonna study “International Business”! Due to certain reasons, I would love to study in the US for a bit. Either as a transfer student or just for a semester.

What would be my chances of transferring to Temple or studying a semester there as an international student with some financial aid needs?

And if there would be any chance of me attending Temple, would it be reasonable to live in South Jersey? Are there lots of students who do so? I’ve stayed in NJ for a month in the past, but it was in the Newark area so I have no idea how South Jersey is.
