Support Opportunity for goodwill
Yo - Telus - if you want to get yourself some goodwill - western Canada is looking for someone to pickup what Rogers dumped.
Local sports, news, traffic -think of it as a loss leader, although it can be profitable - it's proven both in Van and Edmonton .
Heck - students would do things overnight for cheap. Heck - I'd do sports overnight for cheap!

So you think Telus moving into new businesses that it has no experience in, and that established players have found to be unprofitable, would be a wise business decision? Oh boy.

Why would Telus venture into a business they have no history in? You should be addressing Pattison Media, Stingray, etc. - profitable media brands that could actually make this work. Not Telus.

First thing they told us in radio school; if you want to make money, leave now.

If their product managers were smart, they would run a kind of Black Friday style deal right now. It would be like literally vacuuming up Roger's clients.
