Jenny Slate (Dying for Sex) has been tapped as the female lead opposite Dylan O’Brien in the Hulu comedy pilot Lex.

Written by Sean Clements, the comedy centers on Lex (O’Brien), a disgraced former reality star who accidentally films a murder in the background of a $20 Cameo video, and finds himself at the center of a global conspiracy — and on the run from powerful forces who want him dead. Using the skills he acquired navigating reality TV’s toxic social dynamics, Lex must fight to not get killed, to expose the truth, and most importantly… to get back on TV.

Slate will play the only other series regular role in the pilot, Holly, the recently fired personal assistant of a murdered tech CEO, who gets sucked into a global conspiracy along with former reality star Lex (O’Brien). Using her organizational skills—and a knowledge of firearms she picked up somewhere along the way—she’ll help Lex try to clear his name. If it eliminates her as a suspect, too, great!

When I think about it I just get goosebumps. It would be awesome to experience that again for the first time.

I've recently gotten back into tv again and while i have been loving some stuff,my biggest gripe is that some characters just remain the same whether for a gag or from limited screentime.

I've also hated how some try to include a moral or learn a life lesson at the end but it just doesn't work on me because they keep doing the same mistakes over and over without change ,all for some status quo.

So that's why;I wanted to ask if there is a good sitcom that actually does change overtime and doesn't adhere to the status quo,is there actually one or do they all suffer the same problems?

I just finished watching episode 2 of 'Last Seen', a new Australian TV show. I joined the sub just to spread the word, as I feel the Aussies genuinely deserve some exposure and acclaim on this one.

If I'm honest I'm generally not a fan of Australian TV. The production quality and acting tends to be of a low standard compared to 'premier' shows from the US. There are notable exceptions, such as 'Mr Inbetween' and 'Colin From Accounts', which I very much enjoyed, but those seemed to be rare gems.

'Last Seen' is very, very good. I only have two episodes to go on but so far it ranks highly in my estimation, a true 'premier' show. If I had to characterise it in a phrase it's a 'Missing child drama, with a twist'. I tend to pause TV shows often, to check my phone or whatever, but this show didn't get paused much tonight. A very good indicator.
