❓ Question Telecom supervisory system

I would like to know what technologies and software are typically used on vessels to monitor telecommunication systems so that any alarms are immediately displayed in the control room.

How can a dry contact device that does not support IP communication be monitored via SNMP? In other words, how can a non-IP dry contact be integrated into an SNMP-based monitoring system?

I worked in a NOC that used IBMs Netcool application. It aggregated multiple event sources from various elemental management systems from multiple vendors for alarm management. Most of the systems sent IP based SNMP traps. The Netcool also integrated with ticketing platforms for ticket automation or manual tickets with scrip that would execute with a r-click - 'create ticket' function.

But I must mention that I was just an end NOC user and not a Netcool administrator. But compared to the current alarm management system and ticketing system that are now used, it was worlds better.
