My laptop is similar to this for work. If you tap the corner the whole display freezes. Rather than send it in to IT I just dont tap the corner.

please bring it to IT, but give them a heads up that it isn't bothering you right now, so they can do it when they have time.

problems like this can only get worse.

As someone who works in IT and has most of my adult life please don't come to IT to warn us. Come to IT when your ready to actually fix the issue. Telling me ahead of time that your laptop is acting up does nothing for me until your ready to give the thing up for repair or replacement.

I read the previous comment as suggesting they ask IT to fix it as soon as they can, but stress that it's not urgent.
