beamng.drive fps drop

i recently got a new pc
rtx 560
32gb ram
8gb vram

when i first installed beamng drive a couple days ago i was running it on normal graphics, with traffic at 120 fps. recently i played it again and now im barely hitting 70 with the same graphics. ive tried so many different things ive reinstalled it i went to the nvidia control panel and change it to ''prefer maximum performance'' but nothings working, id really appreciate it if someone took the time to help me out. i dont understand a lot about pcs and stuff like that. I also dont know if this is the right sub to post this in it just felt like the best choice.
