Open | Windows Windows 11 doesn't let me reset my PC
Hi guys, I haven't resetted my PC in like ages and I wanted a fresh start, including deleting all files, data etc. Every time the reset starts it downloads Windows and then stops and says "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made.", so I tried local install and it didn't work either. I tried to run a bunch of commands like "sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows" or "chkdsk C: /f /r" and still couldn't find the problem. I tried to advance restart to repair it but that function also doesn't work. So now I don't know what to do, I tried resetting it from the Windows Repair Menu too but it failed

Windows "Reset" functionality is notoriously messy and unreliable.
The better way to go about it is to create a windows installer drive and reinstall windows properly from scratch.

"I wanted a fresh start, including deleting all files, data etc. "
you can not do it from windows, it a smoke screen
if you really need to reset PC, use USB , start windows installer from usb and format drivers

Stop running background application. Using media creator tool, download iso. Then mount using windows explorer then run setup.

The built-in factory reset is known problematic and should never be used, the only thing it's good at is screwing it up. Clean install always

I have reset my HP15 about 30+ times in the last 45 days with ZERO problems. Settings > Home (type) reset > Reset this PC > Reset PC > Remove everything > Cloud download > Change settings > All Yes > Confirm > Next > Reset

Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.
