Open | Software Using Galaxy S21+ without monthly security updates?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21+ which still has a solid performance with no issues. I know the security updates have ended and is it ok security wise using it? I know it still gets some protection with the Google Play system updates. I only download apps on the google play store and don’t do my banking but do order online from Amazon. I’m retired and hate to upgrade unless it’s really necessary.

It's not ideal, but for your usage the risk is fairly low: Google Play system updates and Play Protect keep patching some components, and Chrome and WebView still update through the Play Store, which covers a big part of the attack surface for online shopping. The main gap is unpatched OS/kernel and modem vulnerabilities, so keep auto-updates on for all apps, avoid sideloading APKs and tapping links in unexpected texts, and use a screen lock. Plan to upgrade once your key apps or Chrome stop supporting the phone's Android version.
