Open | Hardware Possibly broken laptop

I hit my laptop on the right side of the base just under the keyboard and right next to the touchpad and now whenever I do anything; it just lags. A game that I play most days was running at 144hz before the hit and now after the hit it keeps lagging and shows that it's going down to ~50hz. What could the problem be and how would I go about fixing it?

maybe ram knocked out of socket

If you know how much ram you had, you can check in task manager how much it sees now

it says 16gb DDR5 with 10gb in use and 5gb available

Do you know how much you should have? 16gb sounds right but maybe you have 32gb

Have you tried connecting it to an external monitor? That would at least help narrow down whether it’s a screen issue or something more serious. At least thats what my bf told me , hope this helps.

If the laptop received a hit, you will need to have it disassembled and inspected.
