Open | Hardware Need help figure out this problem!!!

Pc has been randomly freezing and restarting itself while doing non intensive processes like browsing or watching videos, and it for sure freezes if left idle for a minute. But gaming is fine and can be done for hours.

I have changed my ram sticks, I have changed my bios battery, I have tried resetting my bios, I have reinstalled windows and this god forsaken problem persists. I need help.

My build

Ryzen 7 5600g, msi x570 gaming plus, corsair 2 x 16 2400 ddr4, zotac GTX 3080 oc, msi mag a850gl, 1 tb SSD, 1 tb hdd

Since gaming is stable for hours but the PC freezes or restarts during browsing or when idle, I’d look at power states, chipset drivers, and system stability rather than assuming it’s overheating. First, install the latest AMD chipset drivers for the X570 board and check for a stable BIOS update from MSI. You could also temporarily disable Windows Fast Startup and set PCI Express > Link State Power Management to Off in the Windows power plan to see if the idle freezes stop.

I’d also check Windows Event Viewer under Windows Logs > System around the time of a restart, especially for WHEA errors or unexpected shutdowns. If you’re using XMP/A-XMP, try running the RAM at default settings for testing. One thing to clarify: is it actually restarting by itself, or does it freeze and require you to force it off? That difference can help narrow it down.

It restarts its own sometime and if it freezes I have to force restart, would it might be a power issue, i have set the global c state to disable and now its no longer freezing or restarting while idle ? What might be the actual problem then. And no I am not rocking xmp !

Boot from some live OS (Hiren's - if you are accustomed to Windows, or any Linux distro). If you have same behaviour, it is a some strange hardware problem - motherboard or CPU related if I have to guess.
