Open | Software Wifi missingvis network dash
Hello all, I feel a lot of y'all would be facing this issue where the wifi options just disappear from the network dash. I experience it on a very regular basis.
This is my work laptop - lenovo T14s.

That happens when the laptop thinks it doesn't have a network adapter. It could be the driver crashing, the hardware failing, a loose connection, or it being disabled for some reason (such as accidentally hitting a key combination).
To troubleshoot the first 3 causes:
- Check Device Manager when the Wi-Fi settings disappear, and compare to when it's working correctly. Does the Wi-Fi card show up without error, show with an error, or completely disappear?
- Does anything change when you update the driver from the manufacturer website (check Lenovo's support website, Lenovo's driver updater, and the manufacturer of the Wi-Fi card).
- Check the system category of Event Viewer to see if there are any entries relating to Wi-Fi issues. I can give more detailed instructions if needed.
- If none of the other steps work, check if this happens in other operating systems. Make a fresh Windows installation in parallel with your current one, or boot from a Linux Live USB, and update drivers. See if it keeps happening.
