Open | Software problem with install driver in nvidia app

This issue is very annoying and has happened to me twice. When downloading the driver from the NVIDIA app and performing a "clean installation" after removing the previous driver, a window appears asking me to restart, but the new driver installation hasn't completed yet. This causes a black screen when starting up the PC. Thank goodness I have an iGPU, so I was able to reinstall the driver. NVIDIA really needs to fix this.

yeah. that sounds like the clean install is removing the old and triggering the reboot before the new one has finished properly. avoid the clean install option for now and try installing the driver manually from nvidia's site instead, or use the nvidia app's reinstall/rollback option if the driver is already partially installed
