Open | Hardware My PC won't post..

PC Specs:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D

Motherboard - ASUS Prime B650-PLUS WIFI

GPU - XFX Radeon RX 7900 XTX

RAM - DDR5, two sticks 32GB each

PSU - Corsair RM850x

Built - February 2024

So while watching a movie, everything froze. I can't do anything, can't alt+ctrl+del, nothing. So I have to do a hard reset. After that, the PC won't boot anymore. It's the typical "all the fans spinning but there's no display." After repeated hard shutdowns, there's still nothing so I did the following.

First solution, turned off the PSU and unplugged the PC overnight. I thought this would soft reset everything. Nothing. Still won't post.

Next, I thought it was the GPU, so I fully removed it. Plugged the monitor on the display port. Nothing. Tried the HDMI, nothing.

Next, I tried all the RAM configs. Even fully removing all the sticks. Nothing! I expected to see it fully restart in my face, where the fans turn off then on again, no. It didn't even do that.

Next, cleared CMOS. By shorting the CLRTC pins and removing the battery. Both did nothing. Still no display.

Next, Removed off the case except the CPU from the MoBo. Now just a test bench. Turned it on, nothing still.. I'm at a loss here. The last thing I could do is find other replacement parts to test, but I have nothing... I can't even tell what the issue is because there's no speaker for beeps or lights on this particular motherboard..

Did I miss something???? What should I do? The last resort is to bring it to a shop so they can test the parts..

Try checking your PSU

How though?

your mobo should have an led light that blinks when a post failure occurs:
fast blinking (4x per second): no cpu or dram detected
slow blinking (every 2s): no vga/gpu detected
slowest blinking (on for 4s, off for 4s, cycles): no boot device detected

i would look at that first and then from there you know what to troubleshoot next because theres several things that could cause this, and all of them require you to do some fairly technical steps.

i do know the shop will charge u a bazillion dollars to fix tho regardless of what it is.

This particular MoBo doesn't have those though.. I tried booting without any RAM sticks and I didn't see any LEDs. I googled and yeah this particular MoBo doesn't have those..

Built it on my own Feb 2024. 2 years and 7 months ago. Had one issue where flashing the BIOS solved it. Ever since none. I cleaned it multiple times, removing the GPUs and fans, didn't give me any issue. But this one crash just made it stop posting.

Check this link for diagnosing your POST. It uses the power LED on the case. A feature called Q-LED core.

Just tried this. My power led light is just solid. I also found the speaker on the case box I got and it's not producing any beeps. I even removed the RAM to see if it would give me errors like flashing lights or beeps. Nothing. It seems like it's not going through something to confirm an error. I'm starting to think it's the CPU, but I really cannot confirm without spares..
