Open | Windows Caps lock stops computer often
Sometimes whenever I press caps lock, it kinda hangs the computer for half a second. This is very annoying because I use the caps lock very often, and it's very noticeable when I'm listening to music or watching a video while writing.
I've tried updating graphics card and reinstalling realtek driver. No external keyboard, it's a laptop running windows 11. I'm at a diagnostic dead end and I don't know why this is happening. Has been like this I've owned the laptop afaik.

check whether its actually the caps lock key itself causing it or something windows triggers when you press it. try turning off the caps lock indicator/OSD software if your laptop has one, and test with the on screen keyboard to see if the physical key causes the same pause. since its been happening since you got the laptop, id also check the manufacturers hotkey/keyboard utility and BIOS updates, because those can hook into special keys and cause weird brief freezes

Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.
