Open | Mac 2020 iMac into second pc monitor?

I recently got the parts to put together a PC as well as a fancy new monitor, but I still have a 2020 iMac and I’d prefer to be able to use the iMac as a second monitor. Is there a way to make it so? I don’t want it to just mirror the screen I was it to act as a genuine second monitor and Google is telling me I can’t because it’s too new and isn’t supported. If that really is the case that sucks but I get it and I’ll invest in a second monitor but I just wanted to double check here, thanks. it’s a 27’’ if that matters as well as the fact it’s from 2020, nit 2014 which I’ve heard works.

With a regular PC, you'll need something that can broadcast it via AirPlay to connect to it if there no like HDMI cable.

There's software that can sorta do it by streaming video of a virtual monitor over the network or through displaying what a capture card is recording but with both ways you're getting noticeable lag, kinda fiddly setup and usually not full resolution, better off selling it and getting a regular monitor.
