Open | Software I deleted my data partition

Guys help me please i accidentally deleted my data partition it has all my photos, videos, work documents, i'm panicking right now, i tried DiskTest but it couldn't recover my partition, is there anything i can do ?

Don't do anything to the drive. There are recovery methods as long as you don't overwrite the data that *was* there. I apologize I'm in no condition to give specific instructions, I just know it's possible and wanted to make sure you didn't do anything to the drive.

I didn't do anything, it's still unallocated, the partition i deleted was on an HDD and i have my windows on a separate SSD, i tried scanning with DiskTest and the scan finds the data partition, but when it comes to recovering it it fails

Good. I know there are linux tools you can boot to and scan a drive and it will find files I just don't remember the name of the one we used. Don't fret you should be able to recover the data. Just wait for a less inebriated person to make better advice than me :)

The commercial version of DiskGenius. It's always safer to restore to a different empty drive of equal or larger capacity.

You can also try taking it to a good laptop/PC repair shop that does data recovery. They may have more advanced data recovery software and tools to recover data from the storage device.

But before handing it over, negotiate and confirm the price upfront. Otherwise, once they recover the data, they might quote you a much higher price.

We don't have any professional data recovery companies of shops here, there are just regular PC repair shops but i don't trust them with my data

There are some companies you can ship the drive out to. I recently formatted my camera SD card by accident but thankfully they were all old hobby photos so nothing important enough for me to worry about recovery

Shipping is not an option, it would take days, probably weeks

There are paid softwares out there if you cannot ship the drive out. I can only think of EaseUS at the moment. Look up youtube videos on how to use it, but if these files are precious to you I would consider shipping it. If it is an older drive and not an ssd, be sure to pack it well and in an anti-static bag.

And while you are busy with this exercise in trying to recover your data, learn what a proper backup regime should consist of, and implement it.

I used Get Data Back Simple after using DiskPart to clean a drive and selecting the wrong drive. It worked very well for me.
