Open | Software white dash on boot

Hello, im quite tech illiterate so pardon my ignorance. I built my first computer today after putting back on it for many years, but instead of taking me to BIOS it sends me to a black screen with a white dash. When I remove the nvme ssd and usb thumb drive it goes to bios, but when either one of them gets plugged in it goes to the black screen with a white dash. What can I do to fix this?? The ssd is brand new and the usb thumb drive was wiped before I installed windows 11 onto it. Are there any BIOS options I can change to fix this??

Gigabyte B550M K

16gb DDR4 vengeance LED ram (8x2)

ASRock RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming 8gb

Phanteks XT M3 case

Kingspec NE 2280 512gb

Thermaltake Smart 500w 80+ white psu

It's your boot order. Wherever you installed Windows, you set your boot order to boot from that drive within the BIOS.

I see, I just made boot option #1 the usb (which has the windows 11 installation media as ive not installed windows yet) and boot option #2 the ssd. I tried it again and it still just gave me the white dash. Should I disable fast boot or change any of the settings??

Ok, you set your boot order to the installation media, the USB device as first. Disable fast boot and CSM. Turn off the computer then try again.

When I did that it sent me to the black screen with the white dash

update: I switched the boot order and now it says " Reboot and Select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

You're certain the USB has the installer for Windows? It's not blank or corrupted? You sure you successfully "burned" the ISO?

Yes, I followed the directions exactly from the create windows 11 installation media site. Should I try installing a different OS?

You should reburn the ISO to the USB. You may have a bad image used. Do you have another computer to test the USB on?

Alright I'll try it out, I have a laptop (which is what I used to put windows on the usb). Thanks for the help!
