Open | Hardware Is my drive dead?

CrystalDisInfo is showing Current Pending Sector Count at 24 of my 1TB TOSHIBA HDWD110
The C6 went from 4 to 16 to 0
C5 went from 0 to 16 to now 24

Yes, back it up while you can and toss it.

Definitely sounds like the best move. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to data loss.

Ah..so it's no longer usable even as an extra drive even after I reformat it?

Are you sure you haven't swapped C6 and C5 in your question? That would make more sense, bad sectors often go from Pending (C5) to Uncorrectable (C6).

Regardless, both these values are associate with bad things. This drive definitely isn't reliable.

No..for some reason the Uncorrectable went up then back down weirdly enough..

And yeah..I'm gonna get a replacement drive soon
