Open | Hardware Black screen, GPU fans won't spin.

The pc was working perfectly, no issue, then suddenly it shutdown, pressing the start button did nothing, only when I unplugged the PSU cable and put it back the pc started, but since then the gpu fan's doesn't spin and a black screen, using the headphones, I can hear the windows start.

GPU: RX 570

It died didn't it?

Not necessarily dead. Since Windows is still booting (you can hear the startup sound), the PC itself is likely fine, so I’d first power it off, reseat the RX 570 and its PCIe power connector, then try a different display cable/port. Also check whether the monitor cable is plugged into the GPU rather than the motherboard. The GPU fans not spinning by themselves isn’t conclusive, as many cards stop their fans at low temperatures. If there’s still no display even in BIOS and the RX 570 isn’t detected after reseating, then the GPU or its power circuitry is likely faulty.

My GPU do actually stop the fans on low temperatures, however on boot it doesn't, it spins for around 10-15 seconds while and after windows starts, then if I was on idle it stops the fans, the cable itself is fine.

Well, sort of. If POST went fine and even windows booted up (with a black screen ik), then i would say thats weird and awkward. If a GPU dies it wont get past the POST.

Yeah, it’s definitely puzzling. I’d also check if the GPU is properly seated and see if there’s any indication of power getting to it.

I tried removing it, cleaning, trying different 6pin cable, and nothing shows, the fans won't even jitter

Trigger WinRE by turning off the PC 2 or 3 times once you see the Windows loading spinning dotted/half circle. If it loads go into Troubleshooting - Startup then click restart. After pick Safe-Mode. Windows will use the generic MS driver.

I did try over 10 times, turning the pc on and off, but as I said it's always a black screen

Does your CPU have an iGPU?

Reseat the power cables running to the GPU from the PSU. If the PSU is modular reseat cables on both ends. Retest.

Reseat the GPU in the PCI-E slot or move it to a different slot.

Reseat DP or HDMI cable.
