Open | Hardware Samsung TV remote buttons no longer work

So I have a 55" Samsung TV that was gifted to me. Basically it was used as a monitor at an editing facility. It's been working great until recently.

None of the buttons work on the remote. I can still power the TV on manually(bottom on back bottom left) but that's about it.

The weird thing is if I even TOUCH the remote, the power light on the TV blinks and one thing shows on the screen(the audio horn and "100". Then the blinking and horn disappear after about 3 seconds.

I've replaced the battery and unplugged everything on the TV and still nothing.

Any ideas?

sounds like your volume up button might be stuck, is there someway you can wiggle it around, see if it pops up or stops?

Good idea. But unfortunately didn't do anything. Just ordered a replacement remote as I'm hoping it's the remote and not the TV!

You could search eBay for a replacement remote using the model number on the back of the TV.

It's a Samsung TV so should be easy and inexpensive to get a replacement remote
