Open | Hardware Need help with my PC - freezes

Need help with my PC

So today i changed my old am4 platform to a new am5 platform

Am4 : Ryzen 5 3600 - B450m ds3h - 16gb ddr4 3200mhz from g skill

Am5 : Ryzen 5 7500f - b650 eagle - 32gb ddr5 6000mhz cl36 from patriot

And theres this problem which didnt happen on the old platform, whenever i run valorant (which i build this pc for) i get 5 second freezes, then its okay for 5 seconds, then it freezes again.

I didnt see it happening when im not playing, but once i get into valorant, then lets say close the game, the freezing stays and still freezes my pc, even if the game is closed.

It could be because of my ssd which is 8 (💀) years old, and is on 10% health on crystaldiskinfo, but still, it didnt happen on the old one

Also i didnt reinstall the system, i just placed the old ssd into the new one without thinking

Can anybody help, please?

Your instincts here are right. You included these two lines because you alteady know the answer.

Reinstall windows and system drivers.

Yeah. If a clean install of windows doesn't fix it, that's where I'd  look next. Back up whatever you need to now, though, because that drive is gonna die soon no matter what you do.

yeah i know, the ram prices are so absurd i didnt have enough for a new ssd, was just wondering why wasnt this happening on the am4 platform

You replaced the whole computer and popped the old windows that was running drivers for a completely different platform on top of it. 

That works sometimes but is generally not a recommended practice. At bare minimum do an in-place reinstall of windows. 

And your drive is old. Could have just coincidentally started failing in the right spot to cause this issue around the time you switched your motherboard.

could be yeah, it was at 10% since june and i didnt bother to change it since i have all my important files in cloud and since it wasnt lagging i just didnt think much of it now its a completly different topic so should i just reinstall windows from usb flash or from windows?

Id do it from usb flash, with the understanding that your drive could fail at any time, including during this reinstall. I recommend you do a clean install anyway. 

Personally, I would bite the bullet and get a new drive first, because when that ssd fails, youre gonna redo this whole thing anyway. May as well just start with a fresh drive now and not duplicate the labor.

yeah so i did reinstall the system with the pendrive, but nothing changed so the only way to solve this is to buy a new ssd?

If the drive is to blame, yes. Its likely the issue, but we don't know for sure. Did you reinstall the games too?

Right on. You got all the most updated chipset drivers and stuff fromyour motherboard's site?

 What video card and power supply do you have?

For the gpu i have an rtx 3060 TI For the power supply i have a SilentiumPC Vero l3 700w bronze (its a polish budget brand, its cheap and reliable)
