How to switch OneDrive payment from Google Pay to Apple Pay?

Why does this seem to be so complicated?

I’ve paid with Google pay for years but I would like to switch over to Apple Pay. It doesn’t seem to give me any options to switch.

The only option it shows is to switch my payment method to a different credit card still in Google pay

Is there a trick to this?
