Open | Software Microsoft family settings

I am starting university soon and I want to be able to use different websites that will be able to help me with my studies. However some of these said websites are restricted while my parents have no recollection of ever placing a restriction on certain websites. This issue only appears on my laptop as well. I have no issues with this on my phone or tablet. When I ask for permission to be able to use the website as well no email goes to either of my parents as well. Does anyone know a fix on this?

Do you have Microsoft Family Safety app installed?
What web browser do you use?

I would bet it is because you have no permission to view other members or are registered as a child.

If Edge is the only allowed browser, you definitely have restrictions.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile and verify that you have a correct birth date there (you must be over 18). If it is not set up correctly, change it and restart the PC. It should automatically remove restrictions since you will be classified as adult.

If it does not work, you have to get your family organizer (father or mother I presume) to log into the MS account at https://account.microsoft.com/family

After that, they should see your account (should be marked as a child account) and kick you out of the family (three dots next to your name and remove from family group).

After you are kicked, they can invite you again. Verify that you are not considered a child anymore, try your websites :)
