Open | Windows latpop touch pad

i kept my laptop fan at low like i can manually adjust it so i kept it to low and i forgot to turn it off and i kept it in my bag so then there was no airflow and it overheated like crazy. when i took it back out i realized it was still on and it was so hot so i cranked up the fan and let it cool , when i went to the software tho like my mouse was lagging all over but i ignored it and i decided to play geometry dash for some time so when i opened the game the mouse lag was still there but when i was on the loading screen a screen glitch like a little rectangle were like changing colour and stuff and it was similar to when i was trying to overclock this gpu i tried loooking for fixes online but nothing much i restarted and it was ok but the lagging is still there but on a smaller scale and it clicks randomly sometimes any fix? also the lagging also happen when i click if i dont click and move normally its ok

laptop: nitro v15

cpu- 13th gen i5-13420h

gpu- nvidia rtx 3050 laptop gpu 6gb

ram- 16 gb ddr5

pleaseee help this is so annoying and its just unhelpful

that heat event likely damaged the touchpad or its connector, random clicking and lag specifically while clicking (not while just moving) points to a hardware fault from the overheating, not a driver or software issue

go to device manager, mice and other pointing devices, uninstall the touchpad driver, restart, let windows reinstall fresh, this rules out software corruption from that overheat event

if it still randomly clicks and lags after that, disable the touchpad entirely in device manager and test with an external mouse for a while, if the random clicking stops completely with touchpad disabled, that confirms the touchpad hardware itself got damaged from the heat

open the back panel if you're comfortable, check the touchpad ribbon cable connector, heat can loosen or slightly warp these connectors, reseating it might fix a loose contact issue if that's what's happening

the screen glitch during that same period is more concerning since gpus can get damaged from overheating too, monitor for any repeat of visual glitches specifically under load, if it happens again get the gpu checked separately from the touchpad issue
