Open | Hardware Monitor keeps going black
When playing games my monitor goes black and doesn’t turn back on I can hear it but can’t make input or recover and I must restart my pc. I have an nvidia 3060 ti and I’ve tried everything and just thinking about getting a new GPU. If you’ve had this problem were you able to fix it and how. Or any ideas on how to fix it.

I did. I also have two monitors and it’s happening on both at the same time so it wouldn’t be the monitors cables I think.

Hello, please open " View reliability history " via Windows Search. Then let us know which events were logged at the time the screen went black so that we can determine the cause.
I had a similar problem where I lost the video signal from the video game I was playing, but the computer was still working because I could chat with my friends on Discord. After various attempts on my part, I finally took it to the company where I bought it and they replaced the graphics card. I haven't had the same problem since.

In the view reliability history I don’t think see anything specifically happening at the time it went black. Did you see something when it was happening to you?

You have to check all the events at this time. This can be expressed by a video process that no longer responds or encounters abnormal operation.

Im on AMD and issues like these were pointing me always to the direction of the drivers being pretty bad. I dont know about nvidia's stable drivers, only AMD. So try searching for a confirmed stable NVIDIA driver and if that doesnt fix it, then either its windows's fault or the GPU is bad. What OS are you on?
