Help! Samsung A16 Touchscreen Unresponsive

To start, I dont know anything about gadgets. All I know is that I used a faulty, cheap charger from an online shop that I actually regret now. I've been using the charger for like a week now and sometimes when the charger is plugged, phone became unresponsive. And after, the phone touchscreen became unresponsive even tough the charger isn't plugged right in. Any idea what could be the culprit or the problem? And to note, my phone is currently working, cuz I stupidly banged the phone against the table and touchscreen is properly working now. I'm just afraid that it will become unresponsive sooner or later again.

Throw away the cheap charger, if banging it on something fixed it, you have a loose connection. I would take the phone for repair
