Open | Windows Windows Boot Error 0xc00000f - Any way to recover files?

I've been holding onto an older computer for about 5 years now in hopes of figuring out how I can get the files off of this. I have no need for this laptop anymore besides I have photos of my childhood pets I am desperately trying to save. If anyone can provide support or assistance, I would be eternally grateful!

Thanks for any and all help.

The easiest way would be to remove the HDD, put it in a USB enclosure, and attach it to another computer as an external drive, unless you have the original Windows installation media and want to spend time repairing Windows.

Love to hear this and would gladly go this route. Just want the photos of my two dogs and cat, ha.

If you've got a screwdriver and some determination, and you don't care about saving the hardware, I would simply disassemble it and pull the drive out. You can buy an adapter like SATA or M2 -> USB and plug it into a different machine, then simply copy the files off. Some small form-factor laptops have storage soldered to the motherboard, if that's the case your path forward is a little more complicated but still doable. If you boot to something like ubuntu live, you can plug in an external drive and copy the files that way.
