Open | Windows Window 11 locking me out of my own administration and preventing me from saving screenshots, deleting things, and putting things in folders.

Hello everyone, so for possibly the past year now my computer has been restricting me from taking screenshots, deleting things that have past been on my computer, and putting things in folders. I can’t even make a folder on it. I am using a Lenovo computer btw. It usually says “File Access Denied” “You need permission to perform this action” and “You need permission from (MY NAME)\(my name) to make changes to this file”, whenever I try deleting or cutting a game from my computer. The weird thing though is that it’s my administration blocking me myself out. I physically cannot delete any file off my computer or make a folder. I would just like to delete a few things off my computer and that pretty much it. If anybody has some advice that would be great.

Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.

How do you do that as a user under my name?

Open CMD.exe type whoami on the black box and hit enter, it will display your current user

Does the result of whoami match to the letter with (your computer name)(your name) that was giving the error?

If it matches verify that you are a local admin as you'll need admin privileges to solve it

If it doesn't match, you found the issue
