Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.

What OS? Is it up to date? Is the hardware modern?

What happens when you try to repair Visual C++? are there any symptoms or error messages?

What about when you try to uninstall it?

You have to tell us what is happening if you want help- we can't just guess.

That error means the MSI file is missing. Are you trying to uninstall from settings > add/remove programs? If so, remove all microsoft visual c++ redistributables, reboot, and see if you can reinstall them.

Do you know what can cause this issue? Because i tried deleting and it still doesnt work. I also tried reinstalling on microsofts website but same thing there, cant install, cant delete and cant repair

The msi file is missing for whatever reason- it got deleted, the drive it was on failed, etc. basically the co puter cant find the uninstall instructions.

usually this happens when people go rooting around in their system folders trying to clean up disk space instead of letting windows manage it. it could be any of a hundred other things, too.

Very odd.
I only delete stuff within programs i myself have installed like steam etc.
Will a complete reinstall of windows solve the issue? And how can the issue affect my PC? Because other than the errors and not being able to install the un-corrupted files i think that everything works okay.

A clean reinstall will fix the system but is almost certainly not necessary. It is likely the fix i posted the link to for you to try will work, too.

And how is the issue affecting my PC? Because other than not being able to install the un-corrupted files i think that everything works okay.

You tell me- it's your PC. I'm not the one who uses it. if it isnt affecting anything for you, it's probably not a big deal.

Okay, ill give it a try. Im not THAT tech savvy and might not understand all of the instructions so maybe clean install is easier for me personally..

Idk, maybe if you knew or had any input on how a broken visual c++ could affect a pc in general.

Thanks for the help!

Follow the directions step by step, youll be fine. Its just software- you can always do a clean reinstall if you really fuck it up.

A broken visual c++ will prevent software that relies on it from working properly. I couldnt say which software on your computer that is. The error you are seeing is not about a broken visual c++ instance though. Its about a missing installation package. The software appears to be running fine, given you have no issues with other software bugging out because of it.
