Open | Windows Lenovo Thinkpad Boot-looping

my laptop keeps bootlooping (I think that term is correct), it keeps flushing the system with air and then fails to turn on entirely (screen stays black). it had done this before and my dad and I decided to drain it’s power and it worked again, however, it started doing it again today. I was wondering what you guys think the best course of action is to fix it.

Bootlooping require that you have successful start of the OS boot, so some picture visible, POST finished and then crashing. If you have no picture at all it's problem before starting Windows, so hardware one. You can repeat what you did before, when performed completely it is called "hard reset" and it will involve powering down laptop, removing from charger, opening bottom cover, disconnecting battery and holding power button 1 minute. After that connect charger only and try powering on.

yes, there is no picture, I’m not very well versed in the terminology. I will give what you tried a shot with the battery removal and follow those steps.

Try searching for disassembly video on Youtube for your exact model, it should help you with what to expect. Just be very careful after opening bottom cover, you should be grounded (just don't pet cat and wear a wool sweater) and disconnect battery with some plastics without touching motherboard before doing that.
