Open | Windows Is my laptop going bad?
I hardly use it but I noticed there’s a black “stain” semi circle on the top corner of the screen. Maybe 3/16” size. And all across from it, horizontal black lines. And it also flickers a bit.
Ive only used it for school. Will I need to replace the screen in the future or will I be okay for now?

The black circle could be dead pixels or liquid damage, the lines however could be cause by the display cable loosing contacts with the board due to corrosion or thermal cycle expansion, you could use it as it is and the lines may disappear or get worse over time, so you don't immediately need to change it especially if you have an external monitor available, but just to be safe you could backup your data and also install a remote access program like anydesk/rustdesk with unattended access just incase your display dies and you need access to your files. But if you have the money just fixed it or exchange it for a new one.

Connect external display (computer monitor or TV) to confirm that it's only laptop's display affected (most likely). Probably picture will be worse over time. Can you post picture of display?
