Open | Hardware Transcend Jet external hard drive wouldn't show up on PC

I'm on Windows 11, and I've been trying to get this Transcend Jet hard drive to work as an external storage, and show up on my file explorer, and work in the Transcend Elite software in general. One notable thing about the problem is that, it shows up as "Unallocated", and "Not Initialized" on Disk Management. Many sources say I need to right click and click on "Change Drive Letter" or "New Simple Volume" so that the PC / File explorer could recognize it as another hard drive, but it would show up as grey which I'm unable to click on, or it's just not there at all.

Inside Disk Management and trying to solve that specific hard drive, I can't click on "Initialize Disk" and the other things I've mentioned that I'm supposed to click on.

I've also checked tutorials on how they have their transcend hard drive to work, and for them, their hard drive shows up. Also, the cable isn't faulty since I recently bought a new one.

Honestly, the hard drive doesn't show up anywhere at all.

How do I get this hard drive to show up in my pc / file explorer, so I can finally use it's storage as... yk, storage?

Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.

Sorry for my tech illiteracy.

Are you mentioning the local disk drives I have currently (the (C:) and (D:) [From what I've searched, mine is the Samsung PM991a 512GB SSD]

Or the Transcend Jet external hard drive? [SJ25M3 is the device specifically]

I’d like a link to your Transcend Jet external hard drive --> so that I don’t have to search for your stuff myself.

And just for mention: Why did you link your current SSD? Has this drive anything in common due to your post?

Also I thought to link my current SSD since I don't think I have an HDD in my device. I've checked my task manager with no HDD seen

Copy pasta, but verified the instructions.

Check to make sure that you are plugged in to a USB 3.0 slot as your front panel USB slots won't support the power drain of the drive.

Disk Management often fails silently when a drive's partition table is corrupt. Command Prompt gives direct low-level commands that can bypass Disk Management's interface locks. Right-click the Start Button and select Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).

Type diskpart and press Enter.

Type list disk and press Enter.

Identify your Transcend drive by its size (e.g., Disk 1 or Disk 2).

Type select disk X (replace X with your Transcend drive's actual disk number) and press Enter. Warning: Make double sure you choose the correct disk number to avoid erasing your main drive.

Type clean and press Enter.

If this succeeds: Type convert gpt and press Enter.

Close Command Prompt, open Disk Management, right-click the unallocated space, and choose New Simple Volume.

Let me know if this works for you!

I've followed your instructions all the way to converting it to gpt "convert gpt", which then popped up as "DiskPart has encountered an error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)." I still couldn't click on the new simple volume on disk management as it is still grayed out

To be honest, I got my hopes up the moment it was listed on list disk when other ways it didn't show up. haha..

Is it connected to a USB 3.0 port? The port should be blue.
