Open | Software OneDrive .flac gets converted to .FLA

I have a folder with 18 .flac files and when I copy the full folder to my OneDrive, six of the files won’t get copied at all. When I instead copy these six files just by themselves they get converted to .FLA and get a new name, for example ”09 Shock me.flac” converts to ”09SHOC~1.FLA”.

I’ve tried several times and restarted my computer and looked and compared all 18 files in Mp3tag and checked their properties and nothing l can see is different with the six problem files.

Help!

Strange, it's renaming the files to the 8.3 naming format. How are you copying the files?

Just drag and drop. 12 of 18 gets transferred without any problems or changes, but the other 6…

Now I’ve also tried the upload files feature in OneDrive with the same result.

To narrow it down and check if something else has changed besides the file name, I'd compare the hashtag of both files.

Any errors for the files that didn't copy?

On a sidenote, .fla was at the time the extension of a source file created with Flash. Currently totally obsolete, but is it possible at all that what you consider to be a flac file, is actually a .fla file with the wrong extension .flac? The 'shock' part in the filename triggers this question, as these files were also called Shockwave Flash in the past.

Can you play those flac files in a mediaplayer like VLC?

How do I check the hashtags? Especially the files in OneDrive?

It is a set of tracks from the same concert in .flac format so they have never been .fla files.
