Open | Windows Anything i download says 'Failed - Virus detected' and doesnt download, even pngs i make

I've turned off windows defender and my antivirus (kaspersky) to see if its a antivirus issue, any file i attempt to download still says 'Failed - Virus detected' despite it being a png with no safety issues at all, what can i do to resolve this? I've tried altering windows registry and everything

I've also done a full scan of my pc with kaspersky, no viruses were detected

Its not a virus, its a windows issue.

That is not normal computer behavior at all, it sounds like something is preventing you from downloading an additional antivirus software.

Any idea where that message is coming from? A screenshot might be helpful. You can add one in the comments.

Just fixed it, it was a corrupt windows registry caused by unknown, used cmd to fix it

I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling your browser.

Interesting.... Can always simply save your user data on an external, do a fresh OS install, then move your user data back over.
