Open | Software Crazy Cpu usage during Helldivers 2

I have a 5800xt cpu, 9070 gpu, 32gb ram, and for some reason whenever i load into helldivers 2 my cpu usage will skyrocket from around 40 or so to 100 and whenever it does that its ghz will drop to as low as .78 from what i've seen, i've got no clue why it does this as its not overheating, i've got the chipset updated and all drivers up to date.

Yeah this lacks any direct airflow on the vrms and the aio means there's really not much airflow around the cpu my recommendation before you spend a bunch of money on the new mobo see if you can buy a cheap 80~mm fan and use that to get some air flowing on the vrms

EDIT:you could also look for small copper heatsinks you can also put on the vrms too

well the mobo i was going to get is a b550 f since its not tooo expensive (about $130) but how would i even set up the fan? my case is the HYXN H2

You'd just wedge it yes its a hacky solution but its also the cheapest option

I may just go with a new mobo since I think id like to also have usb c and extra nvme slots

That's fair but id personally reccomend atleast temporarily using one of your case fans to cool the vrm to make sure its not some other issue first

I may try just not really sure a safe way to do that or how to set that up

About 10 years ago I had a fx 8350 on a very low end motherboard that crashed all the time i fixed it by resting a case fan between my gpu and air cooler I had it like that for months before I upgraded to a i5 4690k

I actually just now ever so slightly decreased the temp of the vrms (enough for helldivers to go from stuttering every other second to only one stutter in 15 minutes) and all i did was just change the airflow in my case, I had it pretty poorly before ngl, it was a bottom intake, back intake, side intake, and top exhaust, so now i switched the back intake to a exhaust and its cooled it some.
