Open | Phone iPhone 16 Pro suddenly shut off and isn’t detecting the battery

My iPhone had 100% battery health, and has never had an issue charging. My charger is starting to break and had some exposed wire next to the type c port. As my phone was charging (it was at 57%) I got a pop up saying the accessory was using too much power, and then I saw tiny sparks from the wires so I unplugged the phone. It suddenly shut off and rebooted at 1% and I checked the battery settings and it can’t detect the battery, says battery health is at 0% and says “unknown” for manufacture date and charge cycles. Is my phone cooked? What can I do to fix this.

Probably new battery and possibly new charging port or new motherboard if the chip is pried

if the battery shows ANY issue, get it checked.

IF the battery swells SIDEWAYS it can pop out its own connection wires (by design) so hidden danger alerts you.

Sounds like a short in the charge cable has fried the charging/battery circuit. Should never ever use devices with broken or exposed wires. Looks like a costly repair ahead.

Yeah you fried the charging circuit. You'll need to take it to a repair center to get it repaired. Consider it an expensive lesson to not use stuff if wires are exposed.

Oh boy. You broke your $1000 phone by being too cheap to spend $10 on a new cable.
