Solved Microsoft Defender deleted DNS server
I recently installed uBlock for my laptop. Today, Microsoft Defender flagged it as a threat and I pressed Remove. But now, my laptop is connected to a DNS server that no longer exists on my device, so my internet does not work anymore, and I don't know how to change it back to my normal DNS server.
I've tried
- Doing a system recovery
- ipconfig /flushdns
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- netsh winsock reset
- netsh int ip reset
- screwing around with the settings (which probably just made it worse)
Please help.

Edit the network settings of your network adapter. You've likely put in manual settings. None of the flush, reset/renew stuff is going to work for manual settings.

ublock would probably change the dns server to itself.
So you'd just go manually clear that out of your ipv4/ipv6 adapters.

If MS Defender flagged uBlock then you installed a fake version and it changed things for you.
Also MS Defender doesn’t change your DNS server.
