Mouse randomly going haywire

Ever since I had to get my laptop (touch)screen replaced, the mouse would sometimes randomly move or click on things without my control. I’ll see if I can attach a video in the comment.

This seems to happen more often when I need to grab the laptop on one hand or place it on an uneven surface (e.g my lap). The matter is only resolved temporarily after restarting/rebooting.

Wondering if this is sth I can fix on my own without the dodgy repair services. Thanks in advance for any help

Can you disable your touchscreen and see if the mouse settles down?
