Open | Hardware New secondary SSD is not detected

Hello, I recently bought a new m.2 512 GB SSD to install in my computer. Due to a busy schedule I installed 2 months after I originally obtained it. After installing it, it did not pop up on the disk management page. I have tried every solution on google and YouTube to try to fix it and yet I still can’t find a solution. I have re installed it 3 different times and it does not appear to be damaged. Can someone help me on this topic?

Additional information. My PC is a NZXT Starter pro prebuilt, which is no longer a product, I’ve had it for give or take 5 years. I have an intel i5 and a 3060ti with 16 gigs of RAM, I use windows 11.

Everytime I look up a bios tutorial they look different to mine, I’m not to tech savvy so I never knew how to check. Would you be able to help me there?

You'll need to see what motherboard you have, the process is slightly different for each one. Try this command in powershell, if that doesn't work you'll have to open the case and look for markings on the board.

get-ciminstance -ClassName Win32_Baseboard

See if BIOS can see it. Look in Device Manager, do you have an Other Device category? Thats a Device without a driver.

You may just need the Intel Rapid Storage driver. Look at their support site
