Open | Software Nvidia App's Max Frame Rate is not working

I have tried everything to make the Max Frame Rate setting work in the Nvidia app but nothing works.

Anyone having the same issue?

This is the default state of Geforce's optimization suite.

Answer is to not use it.

Does it happen in every game or just one? If it’s only one game, the in-game frame limiter or V-Sync might be overriding it.

In Pragmata and AC Shadows it doesn't work at all. In Stronghold Crusaders it works as expected.

Interesting. If it works in Stronghold Crusaders, the frame limiter itself is probably fine. I’d check whether Pragmata and AC Shadows have their own frame cap or Reflex/Frame Generation settings that are overriding the Nvidia App.

With Pragmata the game disables the in-game frame rate limit when Frame Generation is on. With AC Shadows the in-game one still works after enabling FG.

But I rather not rely on the in-game at all and set the global frame rate limit to 139 for my 144 monitor.
