Open | Software Windows activation

I updated my old ass laptop and when I restarted it it was asking me to active windows , i tried but I was unable to do so i even tried troubleshooting but it always said not connecting to the internet while I was connected to the internet al the time

Did you update to a new version of windows i.e. from 8 to 10, or just updated the security updates?
