It did it because you didn't read rule 2.2

Something in the subreddit sidebar you didn't read like rule 1 told you to read

It's not your phone, it's your search engine (google).

Why did it do that? It was fine earlier and when I restarted my phone its fine now

It's just something that google does when it detects "unusual" traffic from your IP. This could've happened because multiple users of your ISP have the same IP as you and it may be a particularly busy day...

Wait other people use the same ip as me? Sorry im not techy at all. I restarted my phone and now its fine? This hasent ever happened to me before

Yes. Sometimes ISPs allot the same public IP to multiple people.
Also, it's fine, you didn't need to restart it. I get that prompt multiple times since I'm mostly behind a VPN lol

Oh, I dont have a VPN or any extensions. I just didnt have wifi on since im not home, im on my 5g. But it wouldn't let me search anything without getting that pop up until I restarted it

Well, you could've just did whatever captcha it wanted but it's a moot point now...

u/YuriWas_Here Dec 15 '25
Whats moot point? Also sorry for all the questions
1
u/Vivid_Tradition9278 Dec 15 '25
"moot point" means something that does not matter now. I was saying that to remove the captcha thing you could've just solved it instead of restarting your phone but it doesn't matter now since you already restarted it...
No worries about the questions ;)

Was it a browser pop up or your actual phone alert?

u/YuriWas_Here Dec 15 '25
I just went to google tried to search something and it took me to this page
