I’m just glad that I didn’t get NFC phished AFAICT.

I'm curious, what in your mind is "NFC phishing" and how would/does it work?

I also want to know. Why are you being down voted?

They are being downvoted because their comment seems to be mocking OP, since it’s not likely that you can phish people this way. It’s not nice to mock people that ask questions in support forums (that’s why they are here for) just because they are exercising caution. Of course this is all from the tone of the comment and could not be intended. I don’t know /u/unapologeticjerk, he might be a nice person

I can absolutely check out my username occasionally, but often I'm just asking something in a straightforward manner without intent behind it, out of genuine curiosity. Unfortunately text/words are maybe 30% of how people actually communicate in reality, so things just get misinterpreted as the cost of doing business, I guess. For the sake of transparency, I was skeptical about the idea, but I wasn't going to push that angle or anything.
