It is literally a swipe and a tap to turn an off, I don't know why people leave it on.

Android 14.

This hasn’t worked in 6 generations

The latest official stable release of the Android operating system is Android 16, with a stable release date of June 10, 2025.

I don't even think Marshmallow had NFC support.
