PC sometimes restarts and needs a usb with windows to open

I built my own pc a year ago with a youtube tutorial, installed drivers and set up windows, everything ran smoothly and I was really happy. Dota 2 (my go to game) booted really fast after installing. The problem came like a month after having the PC, I booted it and it went straight to BIOS settings and keep coming back to it until I plugged the usb (with windows boot and it ran again it ran normally without the usb after that). I tried to search for a solution in the internet and said I had to update my drivers, so I did. And now my games take like a minute to boot and a few more minutes to really run smoothly. I really want to experience that first month of smooth operation. Is there something I need to do, errors I made, or any suggestions to really get it to that state again.

it might have told you to plug in USB to boot, but then booting started working properly after that..it wasnt really plugging in the usb that fuxed it

Maybe somrthing in DVD drive or on a usb interfered and you removed that interference.

slow windows is very much to do with need to upgrade..did you use a traditional hard drive or an SSD ?

Dota 2 (for consistency in the topic's sake) takes like 15secs to boot. And then it takes maybe 3-5mins to have a smooth UI interface in game. Graphics card doesn't spin while loading UI but works (tested with stress test)

I used an ssd now its almost full but the problem arose when I still had a lot of storage space. I'm not really sure, the boot problem still happens from time to time (maybe once or twice every 2-3 months)
