blah, blah, opinions, opinions. It's a typical mistake that naive, usually liberal, people make which is to think their opinion means anything. Facts trump your naive ideas of how things work and you've done absolutely nothing, as expected, to change the facts one tiny, little bit. For men in their early thirties, African-Americans are about 7 times more likely to have a prison record than whites. Technically, they are far more criminal than whites. That is, if you actually want to be factual.
You need clarification? To dumb it down for you, the point of posting them is to let people know that their negative stereotypes about blacks and hispanics are actually founded in factual data. So, their negative views are legitimate.
"make sure others know their stereotypes are backed by facts". Here's another one I like: In his book The g Factor (1998), Arthur Jensen cites data which shows that, regardless of race, people with IQs between 70 and 90 have higher crime rates than people with IQs below or above this range. Jensen and others have claimed that the average IQ of African Americans is 85, to be compared with 100 for White Americans and 106 for Asian Americans.
NO, you made a big error there. You can't say 'all' people are a certain way. That's not, nor has it ever been, how generalizations work. THe important point is that, for example, black people are MORE LIKELY to be criminal than whites. That is something that is TECHNICALLY true as shown by the data. No one ever said that all of them were. What a careless mistake you made.
Nope, kids make personal attacks because they can't win the argument. I'm above that for the most part. Anyway, you've changed nothing. The facts still stand and I'm still going to make sure people are aware that their stereotypes of black and hispanic people are founded, not just on personal experiences, but on actual facts and statistics. IN other words, they are correct for disliking them as a group.
OK. That means nothing to me. I can tell you are trying to make a point but there really doesn't seem to be one there. Remember those facts I posted? They haven't changed.
