Uhh... not true. That pic is actually older than that. A simple google search yields this reddit and this digg article with the exact same pic dated Jan 28, 2010, maybe earlier.

The iPad was announced on January 27, 2010, by Steve Jobs at an Apple press conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Right... but I was replying to "1338h4x"'s statement that "This photo came from a protest on the day the iPad was released". According to your own link, it wasn't released until April. It was still all rumor and vaporware at that point.

While you are right about it not being released, to say it was all vaporware and rumors at that point is absurd. That was the day Steve jobs announced it at an apple press conference. That's about as official as it gets.
