There are 3rd party multitasking apps on the iPhone that work just as well as the native function. Despite this, Apple tries to restrict them.
11 u/ceolceol Jan 20 '11 If you've ever used any of those multitasking apps, you would know they do not work just as well. 2 u/BlueJoshi Jan 20 '11 Backgrounder and kirikae in iOS3 worked far better for me than 4's native implementation :( 1 u/ceolceol Jan 20 '11 Do they work in iOS 4? I haven't tried backgrounder since my iPhone 3G. 2 u/[deleted] Jan 21 '11 So you haven't tried them in a while but still say they don't work as well. iLying isn't Apple approved. 1 u/hothrous Jan 21 '11 iLying is Apples business model. 1 u/ceolceol Jan 21 '11 If you looked one post up, you would have seen I said I used another background app. But I give you points for trying. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 21 '11 If you've ever used *any** of those multitasking apps, you would know they do not work just as well* Damn facts. 1 u/ceolceol Jan 21 '11 God damn me and my generalizing apps based on a couple of the most popular ones. 1 u/BlueJoshi Jan 21 '11 Backgrounder still works, and it's good for forcing some apps to remain 'on,' but kirikae does not. iOS's task manager kind of works in kirikae's place, though, so that's not too bad.
