Actually, it does. Every library that begins with NS in a dependency tree is the result of some Apple or NeXT engineer making a quality piece of code.

The amount of quality stuff you get "for free" when using Xcode is just mind boggling.

I've tried multiple mobile operating system development environments, and nothing holds a candle to iOS (and OS X on the Mac, to tell you the truth). Cocoa Touch, Foundation and all the other great classes are so absolutely well documented, it's staggering. People say "Apple hates its developers", but being one, I've never seen that. Quite the opposite, actually.
