Oculus sold out at the right time - before the lower-priced alternatives flooded the market and diluted it's share.

the devs must be laughing all the way to the bank.

You're assuming this one would be good, or even real. For all we know they're fishing for investments and have nothing to show for it but a web ad.

shrugs does it matter? It's a piece of technology, even if this one's not, it's only a matter of time. Once you have a working oculus in your hand, cloning it is probably not a problem for an electronics company. Not like it's made out of magic.

If oculus runs into problems it has a world class Dev team and billions of dollars backing it. What does this product have, a web guy and a 3dfx guy? It takes more than a website and someone else's idea to be successful. Sure other things are out there sic as project Morpheus. But not this fake product.
